slicepdf is a browser-based PDF OCR tool. You select regions of a PDF document, and we extract text from those regions using optical character recognition (OCR).
We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic (page views, country, device type). Plausible is privacy-friendly, cookieless, and GDPR-compliant. No personal data is collected. See Plausible's data policy.
By default, OCR is processed locally on our server using Tesseract. If the ocrspace engine is selected, image data is sent to ocr.space — see their privacy policy.
All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS. Image data sent for OCR is processed in memory and immediately discarded.
Since we do not store personal data, there is nothing to request deletion of. If you have questions, contact us at hello@slicepdf.com.
We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
